These are some of the projects I've worked on

sites.hurricane-development.com

sites.hurricane-development.com is a prototype content management system (CMS) that I developed as a proof-of-concept for a similar system at work. Development is slow at the moment because the CMS at work has recently become one of my top-priority projects, but it is fully functional at this point in time.

The CMS that drives sites.hurricane-development.com is a hybrid system that serves content from both database storage and filesystem storage which makes it very versatile. The main reason for it to be developed this way if for me to explore many different options and techniques for content management wothout having to maintain seperate systems.

Currently, I am working on developing a module system that will allow users to include prefined prototypes in their pages instead of developing them themselves.

Modules actively being developed:

Hurricane Linux Logo

Hurricane Linux (ALPHA COMPLETED, RE-EVALUATING)

This is my attempt at a Gentoo-based LiveCD geared towards data recovery and pc troubleshooting. It currently takes up 167MB on a mini cd.

I have a stable version, but, like all linux systems, it is constantly under development.

If you like to try it out, send me an e-mail and I see what I can do.

Huricane.net Logo

huricane.net (COMPLETED)

I've dabbled in the world of DNS and setup my own domain. It started as experimentation with Windows 2k3 for work, but, if possible, I'd like to set it up for public use on one of my linux boxes. Let me know what you about this.

Well someone is parked on huricane.net, so I can't register it, but hurricane-development.com seems more professional. I just hope that people don't think I can't spell hurricane.

Other Projects (Not Technology Related)

Field Easel (COMPLETED x2)

I built a field easel. It stood a good 6 to 6 and a half foot tall and was constructed almost completely out of 2x2. It has about 8 height positons and the angle is slightly adjustable (due to the design of the hinges).

I'll make a spec page and maybe post some plans and pics some time.

Messenger Bag (COMPLETED x2)

I Got bored one Friday night at about 12:30 and decided I wanted to sew. So over the course of the next three days, I hand sewed a messenger bag out of canvas. It has two big pockets and a little pen pocket. I made a zippered pouch in the flap and padded the inside of the biggest pocket for my laptop. I started on a Friday and was using it the following Monday.

WSHK Shock Radio

It's on it's way! Gold Hall Shocker's Pirate Radio Station.

Once we get it set up, you should be able to pick it up on 1640AM. We'll know for sure once it's set up in it's final location and a little fine tuning.

I know we're not in Gold Hall anymore, but maybe one day, it'll reach someone . . .
